Geographical Survival Platforms will be specially designed habitat ( see model GSP) inhabited by scientists and others who access and use the VSPs to ensure that all populations in their vicinity have access to this knowledge which they will require to transform their communities into sustainable ones.
Sustainable communities will be built by those who have developed their understanding of the emerging context from the VSPs and GSPs and they will ensure that members of their communities also share this understanding. Without this understanding it will not be possible for sustainable civilizations to emerge because sustainability is likely to demand high functional levels, high levels of energy, deep processes and a new understanding of life and the role within it of the species Homo sapiens.
The greatest civilizational project the world has seen to date is the British attempt at building a global empire. The method that they adopted is fairly straightforward.

This civilizational process was so strong that it had the power to challenge the state and often did so on moral and political grounds. It placed the individual above the collective and vested in the individual the ethical and moral values of the civilization being built. The state and entire institutional framework of society was therefore placed at the disposal of these moral and ethical frameworks and values.
Similar processes can be initiated.
